Safety Features and Durability Concerns - Florida Pool Fence
Most activities related to swimming pools pose the danger of accidentally falling in the water for both children and pets. As a general rule, we recommend having your removable pool fence installed at the edge of the concrete decking around your pool. This format allows for a great deal of space inside the fence for use when sunbathing etc. We recognize that budget can sometimes force exceptions to this recommendation, however we do not recommend under any circumstance that the fence be within 2 feet of the water’s edge for two reasons. The first is for safety, there needs to be ample room to exit the pool. The second is for ease of mobility inside the fence when cleaning the pool.
Adhering to local regulations and ordinances –Many states have mandated laws for pool safety fence including Florida, California, Nevada and Arizona. Since the implementation of these regulations is strictly enforce, we recommend being in compliance with your local code or municipality. If you are recently moving into a home that has a pool and your last home did not have a pool, we recommend checking with the local county code compliance office regarding the local requirements for your yard and pool.
Designing the pool space with aesthetic appeal –As mentioned above, we recommend installing the fence at the edge of the pool decking for optimized space. A great way to get an idea of where you may want to place your fence is to lay out your garden hose in the place that would like to have the fence installed. Upon doing this, you will want to assess the usability of the potential placement. Once the adults have decided on what is best, we recommend discussing this with your local Pool Guard dealer. Poo Guard dealers see hundreds of backyards and pools a year and can advise you as to if your layout will work or if there is a better solution. We work the surrounding as per the requirements of the laws then the needs of the owner’s and convert the area into a safe place, without taking away the aesthetic appeal of the swimming pool. It becomes a place where kids can play around without parents fearing for their safety.
