Cody Blair, a native Texan, proudly served in the United States Armed Forces for 12 years as a aeromedical evacuation pilot and then went on to get a degree in Computer Information Systems. Cody is married and has two wonderful daughters. With a background in saving lives and having two small daughters, Cody understands the importance of pool safety more than most pool professionals. Cody joined Pool Guard as the dealer in El Paso, Texas for many reasons, however, his paramount concern for making pools safe for kids is the most important. As a former aeromedical evacuation pilot, Cody recognizes safe and unsafe situations in a variety of environments. As an entrepreneur and small business owner, he takes a great deal of pride in providing products and services that exceed his customer’s expectations.

El Paso, Texas has a population of roughly 700,000 people and is the county seat of El Paso County (“the pass” in Spanish.) El Paso has a history of being ranked as a “safest city” with awards for more than four consecutive years for this recognition. With an average low temperature of 32.5 degrees and an average annual high temperature of 77.5 degrees the “swimming pool season” is very similar with other areas in the United States. The pool season really gets started around the end of April and catapults in May and then tends to start winding down toward the end of August and September. Pool safety fence system sales are a year-round product in El Paso. “We get a tremendous number of pool safety inquiries and sales in September from swimming pool owners who want to close their pools for the winter and both leaves and the debris out while protecting their children and pets,” states Cody.

Cody joined Pool Guard as a dealer so his company can provide a variety of pool safety product alternatives to the residents of El Paso, Texas and the immediate surrounding area. The ability to provide clients with different safety alternatives is vital given the variety of different swimming pool shapes, different swimming pool needs and different swimming pool usage. Some clients keep their pools open year-round and have heat pumps or pool heaters to allow the pool temperature to remain usable year-round. Keeping the pool safe year-round is of utmost importance whether a Pool Guard pool fence system is used or a Pool Guard pool safety net is used or a pool safety cover is used. We encourage everyone to take appropriate measures to make their pool safe for kids and pets.
